Upgrades
Bigger jobs, planned instead of rushed
Some houses need more than a repair: a new panel, a circuit for a charger, a subpanel for a finished basement.
A load check before we quote, so the panel and the service fit the job
The permit and the inspection, handled and explained
The day and the hours the power will be off, told in advance
A written quote that says what is and isn't in it

What we install
Three upgrades homeowners ask us about
A new panel
When the old one is full, hot or recalled, or the house is adding a heat pump.

Permit and inspection
A circuit for an EV charger
A dedicated line from the panel to the garage, sized for the charger you choose.

A subpanel
For a finished basement, an addition or a workshop that has outgrown its circuit.

Labeled when done
About upgrades
Upgrade questions
Do I need a new panel?
Not always. The yearly visit tells us how full it is, how old it is and whether it matches what you're adding. We say so plainly if you don't.
How long is the power off?
A panel swap usually takes a working day. We confirm the hours in the quote and tell you the day before.
Who arranges the utility?
For work that needs the utility to disconnect and reconnect, we make the request and tell you the date it gives us.
Planning something bigger?
Tell us what the house is adding and we'll start with a load check.
