Questions
Everything people ask before the first visit
What happens at a safety visit?
An electrician goes through the panel, a sample of outlets and switches, the GFCI and AFCI devices, smoke and CO alarms, lights and the garage. You get a written report with photos by email after the visit.
Do I need to be home?
An adult does. We want you to see what we see.
Do you pull permits?
Yes, for work that needs one. The quote says who pulls it and what the inspection involves.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Our license number and the board that issued it are in the footer of every page, and you can look it up before you book.
What do repairs cost?
That depends on the job. We write a quote first with parts, labor and any permit, and nothing starts until you say yes.
What do the plans cost?
Each plan has one price a year, given in writing when you book. See the plans page for what each includes and leaves out.
Is a plan insurance or a warranty?
Neither. It buys a visit, a report and a place in the booking line.
How do I cancel a plan?
Call, text or email before the renewal date. We send a reminder 30 days ahead.
Do you work at night?
We take calls Monday to Friday and Saturday morning, and we don't take night calls. If you see fire, smoke or sparks, call 911 first.
Can I text you a photo of my panel?
Yes, to the text line. It helps us tell you which plan fits before anyone drives out.
Still wondering?
Text a photo of your panel, or ask us anything.
