In the visit

Six places we look, every time

The electrician works through the same list in every house, then adds what the house itself needs.

  • Your panel

We take the cover off with the power on only where it is safe to, look for heat marks and loose connections, and photograph the label.

  • Outlets and switches

We test a sample in every room with a tester, and flag the ones that are loose, warm or wired wrong.

  • GFCI and AFCI protection

Kitchens, baths, garage and outdoors: we press each test button and tell you where protection is missing.

  • Smoke and CO alarms

We check that they are there, that they sound, and whether the date printed on them has passed.

  • Lights and fans

Flicker, buzz or a fixture that runs hot: we trace it to the switch, the bulb or the wiring.

  • Garage and outdoors

Weatherproof covers, garage circuits, and the meter base seen from outside.

The report

A report you can keep, and show your insurer or your buyer

After the visit you get a short written report with photos, so you know what we saw and what we did not.

  • Photos of the panel and of each finding

  • Every finding marked fine, watch or fix

  • A written quote for any fix, before work starts

  • Kept on file for next year's visit

Your year with us

From booking to the next reminder

  1. 01

    Step 1: Book a day

Call, text or use the form. We pick a day that works and tell you who is coming.

  2. 02

    Step 2: We visit

Most houses take an hour or two. We wear shoe covers and tell you what we find as we go.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Read the report

It arrives by email with photos. Nothing is fixed until you say so.

  4. 04

Step 4: Fix what you choose

Members book repairs ahead of other calls. Each job has a written quote first.

  5. 05

    Step 5: A year later

A reminder arrives 30 days before renewal, with the date for your next visit.

Members say

What members say about the visit

“The report had a photo of my panel with the one loose wire circled. I'd have never known.”

Mavis T.Pilot member, Wyoming

“They showed up when they said, wore shoe covers and explained every outlet they tested.”

Manuel O.Steady member, Kentwood

“Our house is a hundred years old. Two visits a year was the right call, and the second report was shorter.”

Questions about the plans

What does a plan cost, and when is it charged?

Each plan has one set price a year, given in writing when you book. You pay once a year, when the plan starts and at each renewal. There is no monthly payment.

Is a plan insurance?

No. It is a service plan: a visit, a report and a place in the booking line. It does not pay for repairs or for damage, and it is not a warranty.

How do I cancel?

Call, text or email before your renewal date and we stop it. We send a reminder 30 days ahead, so you never pay for a year you did not mean to.

Do you pull permits?

Yes, for work that needs one. We tell you in the quote who pulls it and what the inspection involves.

What if the report finds something?

You get a written quote for each fix. Nothing is started until you say yes, and members are booked ahead of other repair calls.

Do you work nights and weekends?

We take calls Monday to Friday and Saturday morning. We don't take night calls. For fire, smoke or sparks, call 911 first.
